Last week, videos circulated of  making statements laced with racial slurs, both in and out of campus. And now,  High School is protecting  and  actions, rather than giving  a proper punishment. Claims that lawsuits pertaining to 'defamation' are being made, but this cannot stop the school in giving an adequate response, and expelling  for the comments  has made. By giving  excused absences for however long  pleases, the school isn't following the code of conduct that they set out for students, which prohibits "Name-calling, ethnic or racial slurs, or derogatory statements that school employees reasonably believe could substantially disrupt the school environment or incite violence". By allowing  to be protected, and avoid school settings, LISD isn't standing up for their claims that bullying or discriminatory speech is prohibited.
