For the past few years the RCSA Sports Program has been declining. There is a lack of student involvement and less teams throughout the years. In the past RCSA has proven as a school, we are able to have more sports besides basketball and volleyball. It's time to expand the RCSA sports program for the better of the school and the students.

       Having sports teams is both beneficial to the school and to the individual playing on the team. Researchers at the Institute for the Study of Youth Sports at Michigan State University report, “Kids who participate in organized sports do better in school, have better interpersonal skills, are more team oriented, and are generally healthier.”

      Participating in sports programs early in life provides the student with all types of social tactics that they cannot get with any regular class. Sports give you a chance to do something you love while also working with others, developing new methods to complete a task you desire finishing.

     Schools also benefit just as much from these programs with the support and money given by parents. More students will also attend games, leaving them happier and with more school spirit. 

    in sports result in having a greater positive impact throughout one’s personal view on themselves for a lifetime. Students will see a change in their leadership skills as well as having a higher self-esteem. Impacts such as these have an impact so exponentially that it can be seen 50 years after graduation

     According to the article written on April 7, 2021, BUSTEDCOVERAGE makes the claim that, “Statistically, 67% of females that participated in sports in school now occupy high-level management positions. Males who participated in sports also have relatively better pay than their counterparts who did not. 76% of those involved in sports said that their excellent teamwork and enhanced adoption behaviors resulted from the educational activities they got involved in in the school.”

     By the time these sports playing individuals graduate and acquire jobs, they will be ready to face the world and its challenges better than they would have imagined before.
