1. The Mabvazuva housing development commenced in August 2015 and it was expected to be complete in June 2017.

2. We, the residents and stand owners believed in the dream that Exodus and Company Pvt Ltd was selling to us based on their history.

3. Housing is the basic necessity of every human being and everyone needs a home i.e shelter to have proper rest in his/her own feasible way and live a convenient life.In pursuance of this basic necessity, the Government of Zimbabwe has availed land to Exodus and Company Pvt Ltd to provide on-site and off-site infrastructure, roads, water and sewer reticulation. 

4. We, the residents and stand owners then agreed to the price tag of US$33 per square metre (and this was the initial cost which was already high) that Exodus and Company put to the investment. We were advised that this high cost per square metre was to ensure that we would get all the basic amenities such as clean water, good sewerage and drainage systems and electricity as part of the investment. 

5. Five years, later we still do not have access to clean water, our sewerage and drainage systems are not working properly and there is no hope of getting electricity connections. 

6. We, as the residents and stand owners would like above all to have full ownership of the properties so that we can realise the full potential of the investment through having title deeds but this is not possible as there is no compliance certificate as yet. 

7. We, as the residents and stand owners would naturally want 'to do it themselves' to create better homes and community for our families but the implications are an overpriced investment. 

8. We, as residents and stand owners feel we have been let down by Exodus and Company Pvt Ltd, the developer as we have already lost a lot of resources in trying to make the places we call homes habitable

9. We, as residents and stand owners we are tired of the constant shifting of goal posts on the delivery of the basic amenities and completion of what Exodus and Company Pvt Ltd promised to deliver in the agreement we made with them. 

10. We, as the residents and stand owners therefore, DEMAND that this anomaly be rectified and we are given clear ACTIONS and reasonable TIMEFRAMES for: 

• Issuance of the compliance certificate for completed phases 
• Clean water 
• Rectifying the sewer reticulation issues
• Electrification 
• Completion of palisade
