Behind the Constantia Emporium, an informal settlement has emerged, resulting in a dire situation for local residents. The once-safe and serene streets of Constantia have become plagued with a massive increase in crime, littering, loitering & vandalism. The unlawful occupants in these settlements are directly linked to these problems, disturbing the peace that Constantia is known for. 

We, the residents and taxpayers of Constantia, urge the national government officials to take immediate and decisive action. We call for the immediate eviction of the unlawful settlers behind the Constantia Emporium. It's essential to restore safety and order in our community, ensuring the well-being of families and the protection of our properties.

Moreover, we propose that the land be transferred to the local jurisdiction of the City of Cape Town. This transfer will empower ward council governance to swiftly address any future unlawful settlements on this land, ensuring that law and order are upheld.

Our community cannot endure further escalation of these issues. We request our elected officials to prioritise this matter and act responsibly by safeguarding our community and maintaining the quality of life we all cherish.
