Why this petition matters

Started by Patrick Redmond

Many students growing up in poverty struck towns and school systems have been left with minimal opportunity in our country. This petition is to simply help efforts of putting students of Lynn Massachusetts and other poverty struck areas alike in a position where well paying future job opportunities are available.

My plans to help reach the goal of deteriorating the issue of the "poverty trap", includes finding willing business owners who can provide quality jobs and connections to the students of Lynn. These goals can be done by spreading the word of the issue in hopes to find willing business owners to attend job fairs and reach out to the students. Everyone can play an active role in helping these efforts by sharing this petition with there own connections! These steps have potential to help these children in poverty in ways that can change their whole families lives for the better. I find this issue so important because privilege has made finding a quality job significantly easier for people in wealthier areas than others in low income areas. This is because of the connections that the families and school systems have.

Many families have been put into poverty for generations due to systemic injustices. In todays day in age, everyone deserves an equal chance at a bright future and with a group effort it can be a reality. Please do your part and support these efforts by signing this petition and sharing it amongst your friends and business connections. Together we can actively make this change by creating a career fair abundant with opportunity. With the help of Lynn's school systems and our combined career networks i am optimistic that we can make quality occupations a reality for low income students.
