Students who miss school a lot shouldn't be punished. We all go through things. We handle things differently. For instance, i dont go to school when i am not mental stable. I blow up on people easily when I'm not mental stable. Schools need to be more open about why students dont go to school. I suffer from anxiety, depression, ptsd, and past trauma. Maybe before you punish us for something we can not control think and ask us how we are feeling. Yall say "school is supposed to be a safe place for students to come to". Well, yall dont make it feel safe. Thats where suicide steps in. Schools are mostly the ones that cause suicide rates to go up.
