The Indo-Pacific finless porpoise is on the brink of facing extinction as it is currently endangered due to several reasons, major contributions towards this being overfishing and other correlating factors such as pollution and habitat disturbance. The current population of the species stands at 1000-1800 as they are declining at a rapid rate; starting from 1991 to the current day. These species are currently found in the Yangtze River, China sparking such a controversy that even marine biologists are concerned. We need your help to give us the species a voice they've longed for. We as biologists are heavily concerned with the situation as we believe that the public is not aware to an extent, to be willing to put in effort in campaigns and conservations to improve the quality of the species' life.
To continue our research, we urge you to sign this petition and proliferate understandings so that the importance of this species' is widely recognized by the general public remaining prior to the government and other organizations. We need you to step up now and invigorate change.
