To whom it may concern,

We humbly ask you to spare us some time and help us in our movement of changing the world for the better. 

Decades ago, the Earth had been green—plants and trees were abundant, enough to protect and sustain life. But now, its number is rapidly decreasing due to our own negligence, causing global warming, climate change, pollution, and a lot more—none of which are good. The sanctuary we once had, the one who was supposed to protect us, is now gone. What, then, does that make of us?

Researchers estimate that about 15 billion trees are cut down every year. Since the start of human civilization, about 46% of the population of trees has dropped. At this rate, the Earth might lose all its trees in about 300 years. That may not be a problem for us now, but it is for future generations. We need to take action to save our land. 

It is not too late; we can still make a change. With something as simple as planting, we can help save our planet. Not only that, it helps us as individuals, too. Its benefits include, but are not limited to, improved concentration, better memory, and stress reduction.

Above all, it helps the environment. Trees purify our air and combat climate change. They absorb one-third of global emissions every year. Plants are considered a critical resource because of how they support life in many ways. They provide oxygen, helping mitigate the effects of climate change. 

Terrestrial and oceanic plants are considered carbon sinks because they have the ability to store carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. They also provide habitats for wildlife and humans. They also help regulate the water cycle—about 10% of the moisture in the atmosphere is released by plants through transpiration.

Many have noticed this and have taken action to protect our future. A popular collaborative fundraiser, #TEAMTREES, organized by a popular YouTuber, Mr. Beast, raised 20 million U.S. dollars before 2020 and planted 20 million trees. 

We can also contribute to this project. We, the Strive4Life community, encourage you to take action. You can start simple: planting in your backyards and engaging in gardening. If all of us combine our small efforts, we can make an impact on the future of our world.
