Handshaking was used in Ancient Greece as a symbol of peace, showing that neither person was carrying a weapon. Well, maybe we don’t walk around with swords and daggers but the human body is an arsenal of weapons: germs!
Touching a persons hands is gross, especially now that there is a rapidly spreading pandemic. Let’s shake away the archaic and germ-centric greeting so popular the world round and embrace NOT embracing.
