On July 1,2020 my son Kelvin was murdered. He was shot in the back of his head, with the bullet exiting over his eye� At that time, I never met the detective working his case, only phone conversations. The police watched us more, then they looked for his killers. On October 8,2020 the driver of the car that took his life was arrested. He said he didn’t know my son, he wasn’t the intended target, they thought he was someone else. How you kill somebody and just simply say damn my bad, that’s exactly what I felt like he said. The next day October 9,2020. I received an email from crime victims saying an arrest was made and my son’s case was closed. How do you close a case with only arresting the driver and you know 2 or 3 other people were in the vehicle. Even the damn shooter..Since then the driver has been on heightened supervision since November 23,2020! Nothing else is mentioned about my son, but being the reason for revenge homicide..I’ve been reaching out to so many people and places, nothing is happening in regards to this case. I just want the people responsible held accountable. Kelvin was everything to his family and friends, he was more than some black hood kid, he was kind and protective and only 18 years of age, when those cowards took away his rights to become the man and father he chose to be, his first child was born 6 months after he was killed. She will never get to know her father, except through pictures and his family, she will never get to experience his corny humor and beautiful smile! I just want the same persecution to my son’s killers, that my family is receiving…
