Justice for Chloe Wiwchar
Justice for Chloe Wiwchar
June 28, 2001 a beautiful girl was born and on April 15, 2018 she was taken from us. Chloe a bright, beautiful, caring 16 year old girl who was walking home when Shane Stevenson, an Edmonton Lawyer failed to stop for her while she was crossing the street. The crosswalk lights were lit up, other vehicles had stopped whereas Stevenson was going between 69km/h - 83km/h. It has been 2 1/2 years for him to plead guilty and waited until Monday October 5 2020, the day his trial was supposed to start. Stevenson will be sentenced October 14, 2020. Impaired driving causing death carries a sentence of up to life in prison but the Crown intends to seek 3 1/2 years. I believe personally, DUI causing death should be charged as Vehicular Manslaughter with a mandatory minimum 5 year sentence.
Chloe wanted to be a Social Worker and pursue that career through MacEwan University. Chloe was always there for anyone and everyone, let's do the same for her!
PLEASE DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE, TAKE A CAB OR UBER NOT SOMEONE'S LIFE!!
