Joseph Iribarren Grandparents Federal Bill. We want grandparents to have federal rights to see their grandchildren.

Too many grandparents are not allowed to see their grandchildren, it is so wrong. Grandparents have no legal rights. Parents get mad at their parents, in-laws and refuse to let them see their grandchildren. It is not about the parents! It's about the children.

Right now it is state by state. We want to make it a federal bill, So it is the same in all states.

Grandparents can "go to court and ask for the Judge to give them reasonable visitation with their grandkids". Not all states are the same.

However right now parents can block that. It is not only hurting the grandparents, it is hurting the children.

Children have no rights. We as grandparent's should not have to fight in a court of law. Especially if we have been involved in our grandchildren's lives.

So, states state the grandparents have to have "an established relationship with the child or a particular circumstance with the parent, for example, if they are incarcerated or deceased."

Some states such as Alabama " does not recognize grandparents as having many legal rights to their grandchildren."

Only court ordered visitation rights.

Not only is this very costly. it is devastating to the grandparents and their grand children.
