Help my mom be released under the cares act or her appeal be approved.
My mom was incarcerated roughly 2 1/2 years ago. Under a white collar crime. The two men she was sentenced with received 12 months each after putting all the crime on my mother and taking a plea. My mom wasn't aware of anything going on until her sentencing day. She received 56 months! My moms health condition going into her sentence was already poor. She has crohn's disease and currently had a colostomy bag and still has it. My mom had been on medical bed rest for the last two years following up to the sentencing. Due to the fact she was constantly undergoing extreme surgeries! There where multiple times she had ruptures in her stomach and we thought she might not make it. When my mom first became incarcerated neither mecklenburg county jail or the first prison she was sent to we're financially able to pay for my moms medicine or medical needs as far as her colostomy bags, tape, stoma cleaner, wraps etc. So me and my grandfather had to pick up the medical equipment from her doctor and over night ship it to the facilities she was in. Why hood someone if you cannot care for them properly she isn't a threat? They wouldn't give her the medicine she took at home to help stabilize her disease. The day she actually went to court her doctor sent in paperwork stating the severity of her disease and showed pictures of her recent surgeries and how bad they were. The judges words were "you could've kept all that to yourself"! Disgusting! My mom got moved again. A few weeks into her being there my moms started feeling extremely sick she begged them to have her seen at an emergency. They continued to tell my mom no as she was in pain and that she was fine take tylenol. Me and my aunt had to call the local county sheriffs department where she is located in order for the sheriffs and ambulance to go to the facility and try to get my mom they still didn't release her to them or allow her to be seen! they threatened her that if she had her family do it again she would receive multiple infractions! This is not fair! Here we are today January 6th 2022 my mom hasn't spoken to me in 6 days because the prison is shut down. 157 women have covid 33 dont out of 190 women! my mom is one of the 33 who doesn't! But still at high risk of contracting it. Please help get me signatures so maybe she can be released under the cares act after 50% of her sentenced is served or they will approved her appeal!! Thank you and pray!
