Filipino farmers as the backbone of our country

Filipino farmers as the backbone of our country
The Issue
Kababayans, let us take a moment to reflect on the various issues that our dear Filipino Farmers are facing. Many concerns are circulating in our country as a result of our government's lack of support to promote the rights and support of our Filipino farmers.
There is one industry that suffers the impact of this pandemic the most. The agriculture sector, which is regarded as the backbone of our society, answers to our public health demands by guaranteeing food security for all Filipinos. Nonetheless, despite their critical role, Filipino agricultural workers continue to be among our society's poorest and most disadvantaged groups. It is the social and economic hurdles, rather than the crises themselves, that make it difficult for people to adjust and be resilient. As a result, as long as these structural hurdles remain in place, the average Filipino farmer will continue to suffer.
Purpose of the Petition:
Farmers in our country are being exploited and mistreated. The issues of their rights are quite relevant these days, particularly their rights to sufficient money for farming. Farmers sell grains (rice) for a small amount of money because they are compelled to, and in this situation, they lose money. Earning an insufficient amount of money makes it tough for them to live. They are unable to satisfy and sustain their own demands due to various problems they are confronting and experiencing. In other words, they're in pain.
We wanted to raise awareness of the fact that our farmers in the Philippines require empowerment, empowerment of their rights. We demanded that the government treat them fairly. We wanted to assist and support them. As students and members of our generation's young, we aim for the advancement of our farmers' life. Make people recognize the reality that is unfolding around them and push them to take action. Carelessness must be eradicated from our ranks. We wanted our farmers' voices to be heard, and with our assistance, we were able to make their voices more audible.
Benefits for the Farmers:
- Producing More, With Less
- Improved farm incomes
- New Opportunities for Developing-World Farmers
Advocating for or increasing awareness about the conditions of farmers can assist to improve a community. It has the potential to persuade policymakers to pass more farmer-friendly legislation and regulations to promote commercial prospects.
Benefits for the Consumer:
- Affordable Food
- A Future of Healthier and More Nutritious Food
"MAGTANIM AY DI BIRO: BE THE VOICE, TO FEEL THE CHANGE."
We can now take action to assist our farmers in resolving their problems by simply signing this petition and sharing it with everyone. The food we eat is made from their blood, sweat, and tears. They have the right to full support as well as the implementation of suitable initiatives.
