Why this petition matters
Since the start of the pandemic, there has been an astonishing increase in attacks against Asians, all across the world. There have been many deaths because of this, and the numbers are not going down. There are many videos of cars skirting onto the pavement to try and run Asian people over, knife attacks, robberies, people running into shops and knocking down whole isles and shelves. Over 3,000 crimes filled by rasicm against Asians have been committed in less than a year. This needs to stop. There was one particular case where a 91 year old man was pushed onto the road and ended up passing away. This was heartbreaking to see. So that is why I am creating this petition today, to end these attacks and achieve equality. Please sign to save lives, for equality, and for a safer future. xxx
