all births should be given birth certificates, no matter what the outcome may be

Our daughter was 22 weeks when I lost her. She had a birth defect, and we were told she might not have lived long after going full term. We had to make the most painful decision of our lives and say goodbye. I was in labour for 12 hours, gave birth the natural way, I got to hold her and kiss her. We weren't allowed a birth certificate as they class the pregnancy as a miscarriage.
This isn't right. I gave birth. She came into this world even though it was only for a few minutes. She should have been allowed a birth certificate.
She will never be forgotten to myself, fian and close family, but what will happen when my children's children look back at the family tree, our little girl won't be there, no one will know about her.
I know I am not the only one that has suffered with this heartache and I won't be the last, but I still stand by the fact if you give birth, a birth certificate should be mandatory
