Make the kpop heart hand gesture a thank you gesture in traffic
Have you ever been stuck in bad traffic, trying to change lanes, and some nice person decides to let you in even though they don't really have any obligation to do so? Or someone does something else does something traffic related that is nice? Well, sometimes this happens to me and I would like to show my appreciation, but I find myself without any good options. Waving is a little bit ambiguous - sometimes, the waving gesture is used just to say "hey" or "please let me in" and doesn't explicitly say "thank you". You could make that Belieber heart gesture, which clearly shows appreciation, but this requires two hands and you should really keep at least one hand on the wheel at all times.
This brought me to the realization that there are many great options available to express displeasure in traffic situations, but none to express gratitude. The kpop heart hand gesture (the one where you press your thumb and index finger together in the shape of a heart), however, is perfect for this - it only requires one hand and is easy to do while driving. I think that this gesture should be adopted as a universal way of saying "thank you" to people in other cars while driving. If anyone has any suggestions for alternatives, I would be happy to hear those as well.
