PETITION
REFUSAL TO PAY OUR HARD EARNED MONIES
IN THE NAME OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD!

As constitutionally mandated we the Aggrieved Customers of GN Bank and Gold Coast Securities Company, IN EXERCISE of our Sovereignty as a people under Article 1 (1) of the 1992 Constitution, and in further exercise of our natural and inalienable right to demand for our rights, which shall secure for ourselves, and posterity the blessings of liberty, equality of opportunity and prosperity; AND IN SOLEMN declaration and affirmation of our commitment to; Freedom, Justice, Probity and Accountability; The Principles that all powers of Government spring from the Sovereign Will of the People; The Rule of Law; The protection and preservation of Fundamental Human Rights and Freedoms, Unity and Stability for ourselves and also in accordance with bank acts and legislative instrument ; Do humbly and sincerely PETITION as follows:

THE GROUP
The AGGRIEVED CUSTOMERS OF GN BANK AND GOLD COAST SECURITIES COMPANY is a non-partisan /non-political /non-affiliated civil society group made up of ordinary Ghanaians who go through normal lives in Ghana and operate various forms of banking services with GN Bank and Gold Coast Securities Company.

We believed by the constitutional mandate and fully convinced that every Ghanaian which we formed core structure of deserves to be happy and goes about their normal lives as Ghanaians and also bank in a strong financially backed institution.

In further declaration of this, we are of the view that in exercise of our sovereignty, we as aggrieved customers must make a demand for our hard earned monies without fear and panic. It is our intent to make this demand for our hard earned monies legitimately by exploring all avenues mandated by law and constitutionally supported.

OUR CONCERNS:
We the members of the above named group are very much disappointed in the Governor of the Bank of Ghana for total neglect for us. We are just ordinary Ghanaians who follow lay down rules and abide by the mandates of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana and also with banking administrative L.I. GN Bank and Gold Coast Securities Company are license institutions of Bank of Ghana, which makes them constitutional agencies for us ordinary Ghanaians to conduct business with them. It was on this constitutional ground that we entered into business with them. But it has come to our knowledge and we are fully aware that, these agencies have failed us and Bank of Ghana and other regulatory bodies have refused to yield to our plead and predicament.

On Sunday 3rd February, 2019, we the aggrieved customers released a press with the intention that stakeholders will as a matter of urgency deal with our problem and find everlasting solution to them. But to our surprise GN Bank, Gold Coast Securities Company, Bank of Ghana, Security Exchange Commission, the Governing body of Ghana and other relevant stakeholders do not deem it fit to come to our rescue. It is therefore necessary to pen down few of our concerns, not in any hierarchical order:
That Bank of Ghana licensed an agency which is not financially stable to carry out that activity.
That Bank of Ghana turned away from its responsibilities after these agencies have collapsed.
Refusal of Bank of Ghana to yield to our predicaments and find a lasting solution to it.
Refusal of Bank of Ghana to merge GN Bank with a financially stable bank or agency.
Refusal of Bank of Ghana to support GN Bank financially to enable us the customers have access to our hard earned monies.
Refusal of C.E.Os and Managers of GN Bank and Gold Coast Securities Company to find solution to this lasting financial problem.
Refusal of C.E.Os and Managers of GN Bank and Gold Coast Securities Company to merge their agencies with a financial stable one.
Refusal of C.E.Os and Managers of GN Bank and Gold Coast Securities Company to recognize the sufferings of their cherish customers.
That these agencies are very blind to the fact that most of their customers have lost their love ones since they cannot pay their hospital bills.
Refusal of C.E.Os and Managers of GN Bank and Gold Coast Securities Company to communicate to us in a respectful manner on the way forward.
That these agencies refused to know most of their customers could not pay their wards school fee again.
Refusal of C.E.Os and Managers of GN Bank and Gold Coast Securities Company to empathize with us and know our businesses are collapsing and customers are really suffering.
That these agencies are not aware that most of their customers could not afford three square meals a day.
Refusal of C.E.Os and Managers of GN Bank and Gold Coast Securities Company to know the physical, psychological and emotional trauma we the customers are going through.
That is it clear to us that the laws of this country do not operate when it comes to the ordinary Ghanaian.
It is also obvious that, these agencies just refuse to pay us our hard earned monies.
That it is appalling and flabbergasting that the government refused to give directive to the managers of these agencies to pay us.

OUR DEMANDS:
As a matter of urgency the following measures should be put in place within two weeks from the day of this petition:
That funds should be release as early as possible within the two weeks to enable us get our monies.
That if the bank cannot make available cash for the customers to withdraw they should give us bank drafts that we can pay into other bank accounts for easy accessibility.
That the bank should as a matter of urgency merge with a financially stable bank or seek for financial intervention from other stakeholders and agencies.
That the bank should reactivate their E-bank and Mobile Money in other for the customers to transfer their monies to various mobile money networks for withdrawal.
That the bank should pay us our monies as early as possible before they transit from a bank to savings and loan institution.
That Gold Coast Securities Company should as a matter of urgency pay all their customers whose monies have matured for withdrawal.
That customers of Gold Coast Securities Company who want to stop their investment for any reason should be allow to do so and pay their corresponding amount as early as possible.
That all fixed deposits which are matured should be made accessible to the customers.
That any other investments of the bank such as Wodakye which have matured or yet to mature be made accessible to the customers.
That BoG who regulates the banking sector should intervene as a matter of urgency before these agencies leave their shore of banking to become a savings and loans institution.

Failure on the part of Ndoum, his Board of Directors and Bank of Ghana to comply with our demands, we the aggrieved customers will employ other avenues mandated, provided and approved by law to have early access to our hard earned monies.

OUR IMMEDIATE LINE OF ACTION IS TO PACK ALL OUR LUGGAGES WITH MATTRESSES AND TURN ALL BRANCHES OF GN BANK AND GOLD COAST SECURITIES COMPANY TO OUR SLEEPING PLACES UNTIL WE RECEIVED OUR HARD EARNED MONIES.
