Save Hillcrest Elementary School!

Alpine School District is voting on October 10 whether to tear down our recently renovated (with millions of taxpayer money) Hillcrest Elementary in order to create a school with a higher student to teacher ratio. An assistant superintendent assigned to these concerns indicated that financial sale of the property is not the main driver, but a desire to increase classroom size.

Meetings are scheduled this month to discuss boundaries and realignment with the following 12 Orem Elementary schools. ONLY Orem school boundaries are being realigned

Orem Elementary
Westmore Elementary
Vineyard Elementary
Hillcrest Elementary
Scera Park Elementary
Sharon Elementary
Windsor Elementary
Foothill Elementary
Cascade Elementary
Geneva Elementary
Suncrest Elementary
Bonneville Elementary

Orem provides over 1/3 of ASD's revenue! We have overwhelmingly supported the past two bonds. And in return, our class sizes increase and we get talk of school closures! Only OREM is affected by these boundary changes!

Alpine School District (ASD) is too large to meet the needs of Orem City

Does Orem City need our own school district? We want to keep our neighborhood schools. We WANT smaller class sizes. We have financially invested in our children's education and want to keep our schools!

Come show support at the School Board Meetings. Tuesday, Sept 12 at the Alpine District Office in American Fork and Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Orem Junior High. Meetings start at 6pm.

Please sign this petition. Forward it to your friends and neighbors. Tell the School Board to vote no on closing Hillcrest on October 10. Email the School Board below - your emails will be read!
