As a party neutral Singaporean, I have lost respect for many PAP members due to a multitude of reasons. However, Mr Tharman towers above all in terms of ability and reverence. He has garnered respect internationally and locally due to his innate ability to lead. 

The next 10 years will be a stormy ride for SG. Covid is just a passing speedbump that will fade with time. However, the way we handle relations with US and China will determine our very survival for the decades to come. 

In view of this and after looking at the people that are available for this position, I conclude that I will only feel safe if Mr Tharman is the one steering our ship towards more glorious shores.
