Above the window where I'm writing this it says: "Explain the problem you want to solve"

To be clear: It is not my intention to try and solve a problem or to claim to have a solution or even to make people see it my way; I feel everyone should be free to choose how they feel. I would simply like to share how I personally feel and raise awareness about choosing a positive approach. 

I've come to realize that it's far better to be 'all for' something than to be 'against' things. Being 'against' something, only creates more disunity, fear and negativity: all things that are in fact tearing us apart. You can see it happening all around you; in the workplace, in friendships,.. and even within the strongest of families. I unconsciously fell for it myself: I signed a certain covid19 petition because I was 'against discrimination', but now I prefer and choose to be all for equality. It even feels better to sense, say and write it that way.

What this pandemic is clearly showing us, is that it's important to stay aware of how we treat one another. At the moment it almost feels like opinions rose above humanity; people once again being defined by the choices they make for themselves or by the way they feel, while, especially in these times, we should be supporting each other, respecting each other's choices and feelings as well as treating each other with respect.

That is why I decided to start a petition to raise awareness about choosing a positive approach, without turning it into a battle or discussion about who is right and who is wrong; the utmost essence being to focus on humanity, kindness and coming together. I believe in my heart that equality, positivity, freedom and respect are what will bring us together and the only thing that will truly bring us forward.

So why not be the positive contribution that helps heal the world?
