I believe that the D.C. Everest school district has failed many students like myself when it comes to handling mental and physical health problems when at school. I also think that when it does become the time to talk about the mental and physical harm Everest handles it very poorly. This is why I believe there should be a support group at every school. We would have meetings over Webex or zoom so those who want to remain anonymous can, they would be held during ELT time and be a biweekly or monthly occurrence. We would talk about shared trauma, ways school has effected us and how to make mental health better in school. EVEREST STUDENTS, WE NEED TO MAKE A CHANGE!
