I am creating Evan's Law to protect any and all children in public schools. Recently my son has fallen through the cracks of the public school district. He is a special needs student, who is being punished for my choice to focus on his mental health more than google classroom meets. I want to be a voice for all children and parents who are not heard. Those who continually ask for help from these schools, with no help in sight. The only concern to them were his grade average or attendance. So this petition is to help all students who have/are struggling with mental health. For their mental health to come before anything else. This schools have proven that most of them have no care in the world for our children's mental state. Our children spend a good portion of their lives in school, they are a huge part of their upbringing, it is about time they focus more on the children than the test scores. It starts with US! Happier, healthier children lead to happier, healthier adults. Maybe it starting this we can give children the hope that there is more options than retaliation on innocents or taking their own lives.
