This influential gender-bending artist who’s influenced by the lives of childhood rape/sexual assault survivors:
•Marilyn Monroe (who was sexually abused in foster care) and 
•Charles Manson (who became a sociopath after being sexually assaulted and raped as a boy by bigger boys and employees at his boarding school) 

Is yet again under attack for producing work about controversial topics including the psychology behind sexual violence.  

Please sign this petition signifying that the women’s rights struggle is NOT about censorship or silencing men, it’s about getting rights for women.  As feminists, we don’t have to engage in gender based wars against men to get equal pay and equal rights.

Marilyn Manson helps open many gendered conversations about trans issues, rape survivors’ issues, and the effects of bullying. 

Even if his content and his success is upsetting to his ex (who I respectfully disagree with), his contribution to society is important and should not be withheld. 
He should not be dropped from his label or anywhere else because of exercising the right to free speech.

I was involved in the Riot Grrrl movement since I was a girl, and come from a Feminist and Gender Studies background.  I hold a degree in Women’s Studies and Media.   As an academic and media person I have found this gender-bending artist to provide content that helps the study of gender in academia and society at large , along the lines of David Bowie, Kathleen Hanna and Laurie Anderson. He deserves to be respected, so please lets give him the credit and courtesy he deserves.
