You pass this ruling, then you better damn well pass a ruling for cow breast milk to be clearly labelled as cow breast milk because it sure isn't the only milk that humans create and which humans are all able to drink: human breast milk.

While you're at it, bacon is not labelled correctly either. *Hermione Granger tone of voice* "It's the needlessly mutilated preserved carcinogenic rotting corpse pieces of an animal called pig with the intelligence level of a 3-5 year old human animal ...not bacon"

Get it right, you adult humans that like to suck the tits of cows like a bunch of babies.

Wow. Making laws against calling something what it is? It's literally vegan cheese...what else can you call it? The idea of this is blatantly greedy and ridiculously unfair and oppressive. The EU has several highly more relevant issues they should be focused on. The dairy industry is grasping for straws in a childish, irresponsible, and pathetic manner.

Please, no one is confused. Dairyproduction should be stopped anyway because of all the suffering going on in that industry. Use your time for important issues!

This is a completely backwards way of thinking that is being lobbied by the dairy industry to try to hide the non-dairy alternatives and reduce impacts on their dairy sales!

You cannot claim to own the rights to descriptive words .. noone issuing its milk or cheese or butter but alternatives .. I'm surprised this has got as far as it has to be honest

Take note Britain, do not be led by EU's corrupt use of wording. The OED states that one definition of milk is, as follows:
The white juice of certain plants.

It doesn't matter whether the EU change the law, Oat Milk will still be be Oat Milk. Peanut Butter will not change its name, nor will Quince Cheese. A Butternut Squash will be totally indifferent to the desparation of an industry in denial.
