During the last eight days Greece is suffering an unprecedented destruction caused by wildfires. 

And it's not over yet.

Thousands of houses are burnt into the ground in the areas of Attica, Evia, Peloponnese, Phokis and Phthiotis. 

Even if the wildfires are not controlled yet, the estimation of the household destroyed so far ranges from 2,000 to 5,000 nationally.

This means that 6,000 to 20,000 people (the least) are now made homeless. And this number is valid up to the time I am raising this issue, given the fact that the wildfires are still burning, especially in the area of Evia and Attica.

Today (09/08/2021) Greek Prime Minister announced measures of support to the suffering population.

Though, these measures are not enough to cover in full, the damages caused by the wildfires and the Greek citizens are helpless, unprotected and unable to re-built from the ground what they had achieved generation by generation.

Greece, owe to its citizens to provide what is only fair!
