Petition to start a Suicide Prevention Hotline in Lebanon

This petition had 114 supporters

The World Health Organization (WHO) has reported that there are around 45 deaths that occurred in the year 2012 but officials have reported 107 deaths. 62 suicide victims went unnoticed and this continues to happen. There are no excuses as to why such incidents continue to go unnoticed. Lebanon needs a suicide hotline. Yes, we have NGO's like IDRAAC and the EmbraceFund at AUBMC that have raised awareness of the stigma and financial costs of treating mental health but still, some decisions are taken briskly and a life could be lost just like that. So if just one call could help save a life, it's worth holding a petition for.

I'm going out on a limb here but I know for a fact that even if this petition fails at least we’ll have spread a message that no one suicide victim/survivor should go unnoticed.
Please sign this petition and let us all save lives.
