Hospital cleaners and orderlies are being short paid by their employer when isolating. The southern district health board have contracted out the cleaning and order services in hospitals out to ISS Facilities Services. When we have to isolate due to covid, we are only getting 80% of our wage, which is the minimum. During this time hole pandemic, we have kept working and ISS has not had to close down during lockdowns, so hasn’t lost any profit, and yet, when we have covid or are a household contact, we have to use annual leave or sick leave to get 100% of our wage. This isn’t right.

We the undersigned call upon ISS to do the right and ethical thing and pay us our full pay without us using any leave, like the government has stated.
