As we are reaching our senior year, we have experienced many of the changes the school has gone through in the past 4 years. From academic seminar freshman year to Spanish junior year, and many other unique courses. On behalf of the senior class, we believe our shop blocks should be turned into study halls. We are currently overwhelmed and overworked, and as a result of the pandemic, we don’t have as much time to work on what we need. We need some time during school to do some work for not only shops but academics. Some of us are maintaining jobs after school, some of us have sports, and some have both. As well as maintaining those responsibilities, we need to apply to multiple colleges and make time for family. As a result of the pandemic, this year is extra stressful and overwhelming for seniors, as we missed a critical year and a half of learning in person. To aid the current seniors, there should be a study block instead of a shop block. The theory or shop block should be in shop week, to help the seniors have less on their already full palette.
