This is part of my youth fishing by the river. Why on earth should HGVs be needing to use the bridge regularly ?

Another beautiful area of our countryside will be ruined by decision makers and bureaucrats living in urban areas, who have no interest in heritage, rural life, landscape archaeology or environmental impact. This tiny Lane will have yet another ugly bridge, as have ruined many villages and landscapes in Essex and Suffolk forever (see Steeple Bumpstead, Stanstead Mountfitchet to name Two).
This will become a rat run and another route on the Sat Nav for HGVs.

We should be discouraging large vehicles from using country roads unless there is no alternative route
