Looking for support to prevent the demolition of the Salmon Gums town hall.

The Salmon Gums Town Hall was for many years a place for the community to come together and be united.  There have been weddings and funerals, movies and Dances,  School functions, farm meetings and much more.  It was a place to go and see the visiting Dr and home to the local CWA for over 60 years who catered for many functions there.

It is the only remaining public building in Salmon Gums with any heritage value, and although an attempt was made to have it heritage listed in 1988 it was never completed.

Its position on the highway through town has it in a prime pisition to be used to attract people to the town whereas its removal will just create another empty block and be another nail in the coffin of a town that requires innovation and vision to grow a progress rather than stagnate.

Public support is required to sway the minds of our civic leaders to do the right thing by our town and help to build a sense of community rather than destroy.

Time is of the essence though and if you agree and would like to help please share this and get friends and family involved.
