Kids under 12 cannot be vaccinated and are being affected by the delta variant much more than previous variants. We know masks work. We know the delta variant of covid is more contagious than the wild type of covid. We know ANY protection is better than no protection and we know our kids deserve to receive their education in person, with their safety in mind. We need to bring back mask mandates for schools, and NOT just kids under 12 or those who are vaccinated, as we know delta is more transmissable,  even among the vaccinated than wild type. We cannot trust science deniers to he honest and do what's right and we need the help of community leaders to direct us towards safer practices.
