Due to recent change of events involving the coronavirus COVID-19,Regency and Golin employees—theatres have been forced to shut down their doors in an attempt by Mayor Eric Garcetti to contain and control the spread of the virus. While previously we were on leave, they just sent out an email terminating our employment indefinitely! We didn't get a call, rather simple insensitive email. We have bills to pay such as rent, school housing, help our parents with their bills and any other expenses from basic necessities. Also many of us live paycheck to paycheck which is going to be more difficult on us. Previously they gave us the option of using our sick hours IF we were scheduled but why should we use our sick hours if this was forced upon us. And now those sick hours have gone to even more waste by laying us off and not being able to use those hours. Its not just regular floor staff who are part time/full time but also the affect on management who are full time as well. Please help us bring awareness to this stressful situation by sign this petition. We cannot survive without a job. The paycheck that is being sent by the government does not cover our bills and there are those who are not eligible for it.
