Taylor Wilcox started this petition to EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY COMMISSION

While it might be necessary for job seekers to submit their race/ethnicity information upon employment, it appears that many companies require this question in their application process, which can result in subtle denial of the opportunity for eligible candidates to be interviewed for positions they maintain the credentials for based on their ethnic classification. If a company is considered to be an EEOC, they should be required to maintain equal opportunity in their recruitment process from beginning to end.
I, myself, have witnessed prospective employees being denied interviews even when they were seemingly overqualified. Let’s put an end to this concept and force EEOC companies to uphold the standard of equality in the workplace!
