Alright, so it's very simple.

Epic Games has promised us the Escapists 2 for a while now (several weeks), yet aren't releasing anything. They said they are fixing the problem, but no update has been posted. They also have the time to fix other games and glitches, yet not the Escapists 2.

Literally everyone wants it! If you don't believe me go to Epic Games' twitter and look at the replies. They are all about the Escapists 2.

Let's finally put this case to rest.
