Enable Fortnite Crossplay on Xbox Child Accounts

Different games on Xbox support crossplay, such as Minecraft and Fortnite. Everybody can enjoy games with each other on different platforms. A Twitter post made by Nintendo of America displayed crossplay between an Xbox and a Nintendo Switch user playing Minecraft together. From the video we can assume they are both children. But however, with Fortnite Battle Royale, Xbox child accounts cannot enjoy crossplay, and some have even had trouble with playing with people on the same platform. On Fortnite, adult accounts have the option to enable crossplay, while child accounts do not. This affects child accounts who paid for Xbox Live Gold, and cannot enjoy their own subscription to the fullest. Even if Epic Games and Xbox are just concerned with children being exposed to inappropriate language from other users, there are better solutions, such as disabling voice chat, only allowing child accounts to be in parties with their Xbox friends, letting the parent account to the child account choose who the child could play with, leaving the responsibility of the child's safety online to the parent (allowing the parent to enable/disable crossplay for their child themself) and many other solutions. Many forums on Epic Games' website have been made to point out this issue, yet they have all bwen ignored or deleted. With enough attention, we could get Xbox and Epic Games to allow child accounts to get in on the crossplaying fun.
