All forests are special. For many of us they are spiritual places and places of physical and mental refuges.

Ancient woodlands are not just a group of trees and cannot be replaced by planting new trees in a different place. You cannot re-plant all the wildlife and microsystems which have built up over THOUSANDS of years. WIGIG and we cannot afford to lose it.

Our trees are vital for our climate, for our ecosystems, and our mental health . We can’t keep destroying trees, especially ancient woodlands where the trees can be hundreds of years old - they are part of our national heritage.
