Pollution in the  River Wye has now got to a level it’s destroyed wildlife, fish and everything that lives around it. We see Dead Swans and Birds everywhere, to the extent there is hardly any wildlife left. It’s the same for the Fish. This is a river in an area of outstanding natural beauty, on the boarders of Wales and England. It used to run clear with an abundance of wildlife. Not it’s Green and everything is covered in a Slime.   But No One is taking responsibility. Pollution is from over Farming and Sewage. Chicken Farms are now on an industrial level with Over 20,000,000 million Chickens in the catchment area. From this the Phosphate levels in the River are over 10x the recommended levels. These Chickens are being fed on Soya from South America where they are destroying Rain forests to grow it. Then shipping across the world. The Chickens have a 6 week life. So that’s 20 million Chickens ever 6 weeks. And the waste is just spread over the meadows along the Wye Valley. It also gives off air pollution. This is Not Farming, it’s industrial. If this is stoped now the amount of pollution in the group will carry on polluting the River for years to come. The only way to solve the unacceptable problem is to reduce the amount of Chickens in the Area, as No safe way of disposing of there waste has been proved.
