The citizens of Lee, Charlotte, and Collier counties, as well as Port St. Lucie, desperately need the Lake Okeechobee water releases to be stopped, cleaned up before discharge, or directed south through the Everglades. Our wildlife is dying, our tourists are canceling trips, and our quality of life is being threatened here every year.
The Sugar industry needs to give up the land they were going to sell the State of Florida in 2014 before sliding out of the deal. We need that land to move the water discharges south. We're in BIG trouble here and it's getting worse every single year. Please help us.
