Ban Microbeads in Japan

Microbeads are small plastic beads that are ingredients of many personal hygiene products, such as shampoo, body soap, toothpaste, anti-aging creams and other household cleaners. They are put into these products as they help remove dirt and dead skin. Microbeads are bad because they end up in the ocean through our drains when we rinse out the soap. Microbeads consume all the toxins around them, which makes it 1 million times more toxic than the surrounding waters they end up in. We want to create a petition because it harms the sea animals like fish and here in Japan a lot of people eat food that contain fish, such as sushi. We end up eating the fish that have consumed the microbeads and those toxins could end up inside us. Do you want your children and grandchildren to be consuming these toxins? We need help, let's ban the beads!
