Education seems torturing to students especially when it was not designed to be enjoyed. The society keep on blaming Teachers on the poor performance of the students without considering the welfare of the teachers if their salary is paid or not. The quality representation of education should be targetted to the welfare of the teachers too. The non payment of the minimum wage to primary school Teachers in Enugu state have created a lot of controversies since it's implementation. There had been different effort posed by the Nigerian union of Teachers (Nut) Enugu state chapter and that of the strong effort of Enugu state vibrant Teachers Association led by Hon Nwabuisi chigozie virgnus but all to no avail.Teachers have been suffering from high blood pressure and this has caused many death to over 20 teachers on the cause of this minimum wage and living on a borrowed money from different people, organization and bank to keep and sustain their family and of course Government agency keep on monitoring the time they attend school and their duties without paying their salary on time. I don't want to talk about their leave allowance which they did not receive since two years now. If this minimum wage of 30,000 is paid,it will help boast the teaching and learning of our pupils and in no doubt will go a long way to save teachers life by minimizing the rate of borrowing that have been existing in their life.
