Omoniyi Olulade Bethel won the last primaries election in Amuwo Odofin ward A2 ,Lagos twice.
The first was between himself and 2 other people . He had 7 votes and the two others had 4 and 1.
After this election, the state decided to have another primaries election and he won again . This time he had 384 votes and his opponent Ayodeji Adebayo had 38 votes.
We woke up one morning and discovered that a certain caucus in which Ayodeji Adebayo belong got a way around removing Omoniyi Olulade Bethel's name as the winner and replaced it with Adebayo's name.
These are the issues, if the youths can not be given a seat in top political positions, at least we should be allowed to lead our community. Ayodeji Adebayo is not a youth. He is way over his youthful age. He was not voted for. He doesn't live in ward A2. Nobody knows him in the estate and he is not wanted.
I will be a part of the movement to make sure that our voices as youths in the community is heard.
Even before political ambition way back from University days, Olulade Omoniyi had been known to contribute to human development.
Wanting to serve his community is a genuine desire and I am sure that people that know him will agree with me.
This post is not just for Omoniyi Olulade Bethel but for every young man and woman who's dream is to be a part of game changers in the political sphere of this nation. Who is not driven by the desire for immediate gratification of cash. Who wants to see that things are done rightly and people are allowed to lead because of competence and not affiliations.
