In terms of their own by-laws the municipality must serve written notices of their intentions to disconnect or block the provision of electricity to consumers, however, they are not adhering to this. Rebates are also not considered in respect of all pensioners and this is another anomally that needs to be addressed. The Enoch Mgijima Municipality is also failing ratepayers by not sending accounts, not maintaining the roads and infrastructure of Komani and not enforcing municipal by-laws in general.
