Enloe School Walkout April 20 2018

Dear Enloe Students, Teachers, Parents, and Supporters,
US students are now planning a national school walkout over lack of gun control laws. I know I cannot reach out to the entire US, but I will most definitely reach out to my own high school. Enloe High students, on April 20th of this year (2018), we will all walk out of school at 10:00am, and go to the football field. This will resemble a rally and we will have government officials and students speaking. This is how we will peacefully protest the lack of gun control laws. Protesting will last about an hour. Everyone will wear orange, as it is the color of the anti-gun violence movement. You may also make signs and bring them.
This will give Congress 2 months to fix the madness that is continuously happening. If gun control laws still haven’t been touched by then, this is what we have to do. We have to stand up as a whole and fight for what we believe in. We’re aware that doing a short protest like this won’t cure gun control, but we want to speak up and fight just like many other schools will be doing. Please sign this petition if you go to Enloe/teach there and plan on participating.
