Save the Frog and Bucket

The Frog and Bucket comedy club in Manchester is one of the most important comedy venues in the UK yet it has been deemed as not culturally significant by the Government.  Funding which could save this iconic venue is not forthcoming.

Some of the nation's greatest comics cut their teeth there:  Peter Kay, Jimmy Carr, Johnny Vegas, John Bishop, Sarah Millican, Steve Coogan, Jack Whitehall, Jason Manford, Al Murray, Joe Lycett - the list goes on and on.

It is beyond ridiculous that the government think that the Frog is not significant to our culture.

In a time of never-ending woe, we need venues like this to survive.  We need comedy.  We need laughter.  We need the joy of escapism provided by the Frog.

The government seem to be discriminating against the North - again.  We cannot let this happen.

Please sign the Petition to get the funding needed for survival.  Manchester will not be the same without the Frog.
