We, the students at English AU 1st semester, think it is highly irresponsible that AU is still going through with on-site examinations.

We haven’t all seen each other since November 26th, so by cramming us all together in the same room for 5 hours for an on-site examination on December 14th, will only create new chains of transmission.

While we do realize that this will be an inconvenience to plan and change, we do still believe that it is the safest option for both staff and students. It's not a question about whether it is possible to change it or not, it's a question about whether AU is willing to change it.

We’re all going home for Christmas, and we don’t want to risk passing on covid-19 to fragile and/or elderly family members - nor do we want to catch the virus ourselves. 

The number of people infected with Covid-19 is rising in Aarhus, and we feel unsafe. This is a serious matter.

On the 8th of December, the Danish Govenment announced that we should be cautious, and do our best to take care of each other. They encouraged us all to cancel social events where a lot of people gather, but also that those who can, should work from home. We want to help follow those guidelines - please let us. 

Take care of both us, staff, and all of our families by changing the on-site examination to an at-home examination. We promise that we will do our very best on the exam.
