Since the interchange opened 216 St north of the No 1 highway has become a " de facto " truck route . 

Trucks pollute . Trucks cannot stop as quickly as cars and have many blind spots .

216 south of 88 is a residential road with many homes as well as an elementary school . Trucks that are not local are using 216 St to go to and from the No 1 Highway . Engine brakes are used frequently often in the wee hours disturbing the peace of our family community . Trucks are creating a public health and safety problem that needs to be stopped . School children are at risk .

Therefore we are requesting our local government ensure regular enforcement of the bylaw that restricts non local heavy trucks from using  216 St south of 88 Ave .
