There are many social issues that are circulating currently. I am doing this petition to help enforce change. I think that it is very important for police brutality to be minimized. To do that, I think that our police departments need to stop assisting their employees in hiding behind their shield. There are police departments in this country that have allowed policemen to keep their jobs, keep their guns, and even keep their benefits. This must stop. The actions of the police are causing mental trauma to our communities. There are families that do not have their fathers, mothers, and children due to this crime. Police brutality is not viewed as a crime because officers are seemingly “doing their jobs”. We are tired of being murdered, hurt, and traumatized by these people that are hired by the city. Please hold our police officers to the same standards that you would any other criminals. This petition is supporting the police departments in punishing their fellow brother to the full extent of the law. The officers will lose their benefits, be arraigned and charged as such, while serving out a sentence that they deserve. Please support my petition here by doing the right thing.
