Jenny Poll started this petition to Enfield Town Council

Although we understand the need for new homes being built on the old Chase Farm Hospital grounds, the blocks of 6 storeys is too high. (Planning reference number 20/01923/OUT.)

They will overshadow existing residential buildings, affect our current wildlife especially the bat numbers which appear to have already decreased even since the clearing of the proposed site, they will overlook the proposed new 3 form entry primary school and from the current pandemic it has become clear that living in blocks is not beneficial to a person's mental well-being. These are just a few of the negative impacts these blocks of flats will have on our area and local community.

These are not what were originally drawn up in the first proposals and the local authority has already said that 6 storeys is too high elsewhere on the building premises which brings us to question why it's acceptable anywhere on the build.

The new hospital is classed as a 5 storey building according to the documents on the Enfield website.

Please help us object to the height of these blocks by signing our petition and sharing with your friends and family.
