Save our Walker School Lollipop Lady Rose

Enfield Council are no longer funding school crossing patrols in the borough. This means that after the summer term Rose will no longer be with us, keeping our children safe.
Rose has prevented many accidents over the years.
People drive dangerously fast up and down Waterfall Road and Rose’s presence is crucial to ensure our children are crossing the road safely.
There was another accident on Friday (22nd March) which would have been so much worse had Rose not been there.
The school rebuild will bring construction work vehicles which will make the situation even worse, without Rose there to monitor the crossing accidents will happen.
Even if the speed limit was reduced to 20mph and humps installed, as has been suggested as an option, the sheer volume of traffic makes a school crossing patrol necessary.
We are asking the council to keep the funding for Rose to stay and keep our children safe.
